What is Vicodin ES 7.5 mg-300 mg?
Vicodin ES 7.5 mg-300 mg contains a combination of acetaminophen and hydrocodone. Hydrocodone is an opioid pain medication. An opioid is sometimes called a drug. Acetaminophen is a less potent analgesic that increases the effect of hydrocodone.
Vicodin ES 7.5 mg-300 mg tablets are used to relieve moderate to moderate pain.

Important information
Hydrocodons can slow down or stop breathing. Never use this medicine in large quantities or for longer than prescribed. Narcotic pain medication can be addictive, even at regular doses. Never share Vicodin with another person, especially someone with a history of drug or substance abuse. Store the medicine in a place where others cannot get there.

DRUG ABUSE MAY CAUSE ADDICTION, OVERDOSAGE OR DEATH, especially in a child or other person using the drug without a prescription.
Do not use Vicodin ES 7.5 mg-300 mg if you have used an MAOI in the last 14 days, such as isocarboxazide, linezolid, methylene blue injection, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline or tranylcypromine.
Vicodin dosage
Do not take more Vicodin than recommended. An overdose of acetaminophen can damage your liver or cause death. Call your doctor immediately if you have nausea, upper abdominal pain, itching, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools or jaundice (yellowing of your skin or eyes).
Stop taking Vicodin ES 7.5 mg-300 mg and call your doctor immediately if you have redness or rash that spreads and causes blisters and scaling.
Usage
Before you take this medicine
You should not use Vicodin if you are allergic to acetaminophen (Tylenol) or hydrocodone, or if you have recently used alcohol, sedatives, sedatives or other narcotic drugs.
Do not use this medicine if you have been taking an MAOI for the last 14 days. A dangerous drug interaction may occur. MAO inhibitors include isocarboxazide, linezolid, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline and tranylcypromine.
Some medicines can interact with hydrocodone and cause a serious condition called serotonin syndrome. Make sure your doctor knows if you are also taking medication for depression, mental illness, Parkinson’s disease, migraine headaches, serious infections or prevention of nausea and vomiting. liver disease, shrinkage, or if you drink more than 3 alcoholic beverages per day;
a history of alcoholism or drug abuse;
diarrhea, inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal obstruction, severe constipation;
kidney disease;
low blood pressure, or if you are dehydrated;
a history of head injury, brain tumor or stroke;
asthma, COPD, sleep apnea or other respiratory disorders; or
if you are using a sedative such as Valium ( diazepam , alprazolam , lorazepam , Ativan , Klonopin , Restoril, Tranxene, Versed, Xanax and others).
Vicodin causes more respiratory problems in older adults and people who are seriously ill, malnourished or otherwise debilitated.
Addiction
If you are using narcotic drugs while you are pregnant, your baby may become addicted to the drug. This can cause life-threatening withdrawal symptoms in the baby after it is born. Infants born with addictive drugs may need medical treatment for several weeks. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
Acetaminophen and hydrocodone can pass into breast milk and may harm a breast-feeding baby. You should not breast-feed while using Vicodin ES 7.5 mg-300 mg.
